Ok best explain that i hated all the X-Men films. Yeah the first two were good films but as Xmen films they were terrible.

Why take the name of something that you have no intention of being faithful to? Why not make a superman film with Superman in it for 10 minutes then follow batman taking a holiday on Mars fighting Darth Vader. (ok a bit OTT)

But seriously these films have very little to do with the true Xmen. Then have the stupidity to ruin what characters they do involve.

This thrid film is the worst of them all, It destroys everything that was wrongly built up in the first two films then rushes through the film putting one set piece together with another! If you like Xmen AVOID THIS LIKE THE PLAGUE!!!!!

Rated - 4 starsPah, Ignore the critics, what do they know?

Alan O'Brien from Cumbernauld near Glasgow, Scotland , 30/05/2006

I wasn't expecting too much from this after the panning it has taken from the critics. They were wrong one of the most enjoyable movies I've seen in a while and a worthy addition to the franchise.

The critics need to realise that missing the Malcolm X/Luthor King analogies from the first and the Homophobia metaphors of the second, doesn't mean it's a poor movie.

It's not perfect, The set piece Golden Gate Bridge stunt is both pointless and silly looking and the death of a major character barely registers. It's also on the short side for the scope of the story it's trying to tell.

However, It has a nice action packed, almost War film like, feel to it. Mayby I'm just a sucker for hoplessley outnumbered but standing their ground anyway type scenarios? But, this really worked for me and is the best super hero battle I seen filmed yet.

There was also plenty of references for people, like me, who know the comic. Wolverine's remark to the guy whose arms kept growing back, alone, was worth the ticket price.

Ignore the critics, they liked the English patient for pities sake.

Rated - 2 starsBig disappointment

A customer from Portsmouth, England , 27/05/2006

I was looking forward to seeing this film, but was greatly disappointed. It was fun and the special effects were great, but the film lacked the moral conscience, the story, and the depth of character that the first two films offered. Many characters were underused and there was no fluidity between scenes. Ben Fosters' character was pointless to say the least. What could have been a great end to the X-men series turned out to tarnish the whole trilogy.

Rated - 0 starswhere did it go wrong?

Oliver Baker from ruislip , 13/02/2007

After the first two x-men films i was very much looking forward to this third installment however, it is unbelieveably bad. quite how they decided upon this story and the actors that join the cast is beyond me. why they kill off the characters they do is bizarre. quite how they are ever going to do anymore sequels is a complete mystery and based on this i hope they never do.
