Brief synopsis of Revelations

The time of miracles is once again at hand in the six-hour epic event, Revelations. Bill Pullman (Independence Day) stars as Harvard professor Dr. Richard Massey, an astrophysicist who’s certain that all worldly events can be explained by science. He is challenged by Sister Josepha Montafiore (Natascha McElhone, Solaris), a devout nun who leads him on a quest through a world of true believers, heretics and Satanists. Drawn together by personal tragedy, they are swept into a deepening mystery when they discover evidence that the world, as predicted by The Book of Revelations, is about to end.

Rated - 3 starsGood, Uncomplicated, Apocalyptic Drama

I originally watched this when it aired on satellite earlier this year, and I have to say I found it enjoyable.

The two leads, despite playing a physicist and a nun, have great chemistry which adds an interesting dimension to the story. The plot is easy to follow and is not overcomplicated so it is easy to watch curled up on the sofa on a sunday afternoon!!

If you enjoy 'End Of Days' type drama then this is for you. I would definitely reccommend giving it a go!

Rated - 1 starsrubbish

Complete garbage, if i've got the choice of watching this or doing the chores i'll do the chores, i'm not even bothering with the second disc.

Reason: Religion & scriptures twisted (Yes I know it's only a film, but if they must use scripture use it intelligently and dont change words and meanings)

1 star because Bill Pullman leads.

Rated - 1 starsDisc 1 Watchable, Disc 2 was a total Snooze Fest!

Don't bother with this mediocre, often times boring 'end of days' nonsense. By the end of the film I couldn't have cared less what happened, just glad that the long monotony was over! I love intelligent, apocalyptic films that leave the viewer guessing and engrossed throughout. If you like the same, then definitely DON'T watch this. Even the acting wasn't all that good!

Rated - 2 starsPredictable

Rather hackneyed story cobbling together bits from the omen, rosemary's baby and any number of Stephen King novels. I know that if you're going to base a story on Armaggedon then you're fairly limited with what you can do, but this had nothing new or interesting to say.
