Brief synopsis of Operation Condor

Jackie Chan is the world's greatest secret agent, code name CONDOR, who has been sent to track down stolen Nazi gold buried beneath the Sahara. He is pursued by a band of terrorists trying to beat him to the hidden bounty. Along the way he must protect a pair of beautiful yet klutzy women. A high-spirited action-comedy with plenty of good-natured slapstick fun for everyone.

Halliwell's Film Guide

Genial and energetic martial arts movie, less effective than usual because the action is removed from its normal Hong Kong context, though no doubt its desert setting seemed exotic to its home audience.

USA Today

"...Surreal stunts featuring the scrappy star risking his own life and limbs....The opening alone makes Condor worthwhile viewing..."

Chicago Sun

"...[Chan] brings that light-hearted persona to the fact that he is also a superb athlete and does amazing things in every film..."

Jackie Chan is combo of Indiana Jones and James Bond in this enjoyable flick. He is in search of the gold hidden by the nazi army during world war 2.The movie is hilarious and comic timings of Jackie Chan are excellent.Add with this the usual Jackie Chan stunts. This movie is recomended

If you like this sub-genre you will definitely appreciate the breathtaking skills of Jackie Chan in his fight scenes, with the split-second timing, and well-judged humour.

I absolutely loved this film, right from the indiana jones start to the end, may be hammy but the fight scenes more than make up for it - the motorbike chase was fantastic, as was the fight scene on the rocking iron walkways, indy eat your heart out!! Jackie certainly was a cool dude.

Rated - 3 starsThe Asian Hawk Returns.

drunkenmaster from Merthyr Tydfil, , 18/06/2005

A sequel to the excellent Armour Of God, this is nearly as good as far as the stunts go, but looses out because it lacks the quality in the fight scenes. The stunts are first class, as you would expect from Jackie Chan, the most injured actor in history due to his obsession with doing his own stunts.

In this one he has somehow changed his name from the "Asian Hawk" to "The Condor", but this could just be something in the translation? (Both birds!) Jackie has surrounded himself with three beautiful leading ladies for this one. It is just a shame that none of them can act very well. (Still, it is eye candy.) Anyway, I am digressing....... This film does lack a fighting villian, so there is no big face off, just a few slapstick filled fights throughout.

This is still a class act though, and the wind tunnel fight is original if not as thrilling a finale as I would have liked.

This was like watching Indiana Jones starring Chan. Nowhere near as good but still entertaining. Not one of Chan's better films.
