Brief synopsis of Waltons, The - Season 2

A year has gone by on Walton's mountain. The Depression has deepened, but so have the love and respect that hold the Waltons together. Share good times and hard times with America's favorite family in this 5-disc set featuring all 24 Year-Two Episodes - including The Thanksgiving Story, a poignant movie-length tale that won an Emmy Award for Best Writing in Drama (Series). This is the year John-Boy graduates from high school and delivers a baby, the year Mary Ellen falls in love, the year John and Olivia finally take their honeymoon, and the year Grandma and Grandpa separate (well, maybe just until tempers cool). Make yourself at home!

If you have watched the first series like myself then bought them this will be a real treat. Life still goes on in the family household but it can still bring a tear to the youngest ones eye. Excellent viewing well worth the wait.

This really was great. It's amazing to watch life as it should be! And I'm only 32!! Teenagers, parents with teenagers, younger children need to watch. Our teenager who is against anything and everything watched most of these episodes and enjoyed them!

Rated - 5 starsThe Waltons (Season 2)

A customer from Crook , 02/12/2008

Really enjoyed the first season and season 2 is no different if only better. I love watching this program especially when the younger Waltons are still children. It reminds me a bit of how my childhood was simple but very rich even though we never had a great deal of money to spare. A great DVD for all ages, makes you feel good inside when you watch it.
