Brief synopsis of Jimmy Hollywood

Unlike most people, when Jimmy Alto (Oscar winner Joe Pesci) is robbed, he sees it as a great career-boosting opportunity. The struggling actor cannot get a break in the film industry for love or money. So, with the help of best friend William (Christian Slater), he takes to secretly videotaping criminals, under the guise of vigilante crime-fighter 'Jericho'. Suddenly, his alter ego is receiving more media attention than even the biggest Hollywood stars, yet Jimmy remains a virtual unknown! A darkly comic look at life in La La Land from acclaimed director Barry Levinson (RAIN MAN).

I watched this because I'd seen Victoria Abril in Atame (Tie me up, Tie me down) & wanted to see what she was like in an English speaking role;. she is just as good & the film made me smile with an occasional giggle. It's not a classic but it's worth a watch on a rainy day!
