It's deeply unsettling; just like a horror movie should be

really dissapointed with this film. the first 3 were all excellant, but i think this is one too many. for me didn't seem to get going and didn't give all the answers i was looking for but gave new ones. I've given it 3 stars only because it still graphically well done and the scenes still remain real.

Rated - 4 starsAbove Average

neo4025 from Birmingham [Highly rated reviewer] , 10/03/2008

I felt that this film was above average, hence the 4 star rather than 3, although its more of a 3 and a half star than a 4. I went into this film expecting it to be rubbish but I think this very low expectation helped me to give it more credit. Its a million miles away from the first film, but then I feel the quadrilogy or the three films after the first could never be as good especially with the twist ending. I felt a lot of questions were answered but at the same time feel that the questions that were answered I never new I had a requirement for until they presented an answer. I.e. gave me the impression that an answer was required. The first film was also brilliant because it was all about a messed up elusive serial killer who was out there abducting and killing people but not just killing them in the conventional way but using such cool contraptions. At the end of the day if this is the last film then I would have to say finally but at the same time I did still like it. Please no more though!!!

Rated - 3 starsOK I suppose

the idea of the Saw movies is superb but I think this maybe a bridge too far.

The film itself is reasonably watchable but don't expect ground breaking new ideas.

OK for a gore fest.

Rated - 3 starsMore of the same - still quite good

Matt899 from Bracknell , 23/07/2008

As expected, very gory. Deadly devices not quite as creative as previous films, but a clever storyline and plot. Introduced some new characters who added to the film well. Partly overlapping with the third film, which made figuring out the timeline a little confusing toward the end.
