Brief synopsis of Welcome To The Jungle - BLU-RAY Version

The Rock (aka Duane Johnson) firmly establishes himself as a major Hollywood force in Welcome to the Jungle, an engaging action-comedy directed by Peter Berg. Johnson/Rock plays Beck, a retriever-for-hire, who is sent on one final mission before he can retire and realize his dream of opening up his own restaurant. Swapping the concrete jungle of Los Angeles for the jungles of the Amazon, Beck begins his quest to locate his boss' son, Travis (Seann William Scott). When he walks into the establishment of the beautiful Mariana (Rosario Dawson), he does just that. But before he can drag Travis back to the airstrip and deliver him to his father, the evil Hatcher (Christopher Walken) arrives and reminds Beck that this is his jurisdiction. Apparently, Travis is incredibly close to locating a rare relic, and until that happens, Hatcher isn't letting Travis out of his sight. Of course, Beck uses his talent for kicking ass to escape with Travis, but after their jeep tumbles off a mountain, they find themselves trapped in the jungle with Hatcher hot on their trail. Berg's film breathes with a lighthearted air that is truly refreshing for the action genre, while the relentlessly hilarious interplay between The Rock and Scott is a sight to behold.

Rated - 5 starsWelcome To The Jungle

I recently rented Welcome To The Jungle on Blu Ray.

Unfortunately when playing the disk on a PC with a LG multi format ROM and the very latest software install.

The disk played OK, but I couldn't watch the movie, because there were no clickable links on screen to start the movie playing.

I tried everything, but it just wouldn't play.

If you are also renting this movie and don't have a stand alone player, you may experience similar problems.

The movie it's self is enjoyable (from what I can remember from seeing it before).

This film for me had it all - a great storyline, hilarious dialogue (especially between the Rock and SWS) and great action scenes.

I have watched this film countless times and haven't tired of it yet...don't think i will to be honest!

A definite must-see!!!

Funny film, terrible script, but the stars make it work. Good light entertainment with lots of WWE style action from the Rock.

Rated - 4 starsGreat film

A thoroughly enjoyable film. I nearly laughed my head off several times especially when The Rock was trying to be reasonable. Seann Scott who I'll always think of as Stiffler was acting just like Stiffler and Christopher Walken being his usual Bizarre self.

Lightweight easy to follow plot with plenty of comedy, outrageous fight scenes and clever choreography.
